No budget for new signs

Melbourne signage CompanyIt has been interesting working for a company that has money. At my old job I was given a $200 budget for office supplies. That’s per month. It did not go very far in terms of supplying all thirty five employees with stationery and office equipment for a week let alone a month. Since I have take on the office manager role at my new company I have had to really adjust to working with bigger budgets. My most recent task has been to arrange some new signage for the office. My boss asked me to shop around different signage companies in Melbourne and see what was out there. When I asked him roughly how much he wanted to spend on new signs he said, let’s keep it under six figures. Now although it’s clear he was joking I think it goes some way in showing what I’m dealing with. I even went to him once and presented a way he could save up to $1000 on the food that he orders for lunches with clients but he wasn’t interested. The man bleeds money. I have been working with the sign writers on developing effective designs, we are aiming for some big impressive 3D fabricated letters to be installed just outside the block and he also wants some customised frosting on the internal glass. He insists that I should just go ahead and arrange for it all to be done. The sign writers in Melbourne are extremely professional and previous examples show they really know what they’re doing. When I tried to get my boss to look over the plans for the seventeenth time he just told me to confirm it all and if he doesn’t like he’ll just get it all done again!
