Runner is in need of some support

Sandringham PodiatrySitting in the podiatrist office in Cheltenham, I realised my palms were very sweaty and my heart rate had become irregular. I was super nervous for some reason, or more so anxious to hear what the foot specialist had to say. I had just spent the last while following the directions of the podiatrist as he tested my feet. Now, after being completely distracted by the wondrous technology they use to test feet and how incredible the skill of the podiatrist was, I was excited to hear the results. I desperately wanted to know if I needed arch supports and I felt like the podiatrist was purposely dragging the suspense out. I knew he wasn’t really, I was just impatient as always. When I’d first arrived at the clinic, I had spent a few minutes pacing around the place, looking at the different things they had on the walls. I had decided that if the results of my tests required me too, I would be buying the adult orthotics and not making a fuss. I was almost hoped I needed them, just so I could buy them. The man from Cheltenham podiatry told me that everything had gone well and that he had managed to pick up what my be causing me to have some balance problems. I was a long distance runner and had been having a few problems with my feet lately. I’m usually very steady on my legs and can run for miles without having any issues. Recently I couldn’t even do a few hundreds metres before having serious pain shooting up from my feet, I needed it fixed and fast.

The man was careful to explain anything I didn’t understand, ensuring I was comfortable with what he was explaining. A smile appeared on my face as the podiatrist told me that I would need to get a pair of orthotics. It felt like I was part robot, but not really it was just a fun thought.
