It was that time of year again. Christmas was just around the corner and I was stuck for a gift idea for my mother. I had always managed to get Mum a great present for Christmas, but this year I had no inspiration for a fantastic gift was worried it was not going to be the best. I asked my father if he knew some gift ideas for Mum, he didn’t come up with anything useful. My youngest sister told me to make her into a princess. It inspired a fantastic idea, from those innocent words I had a plan. I was going to take Mum to get some cosmetic treatments. She’d been complaining about her wrinkles for a long time now. She wears far too much makeup in an effort to look younger. She has been saying lately that she wants to change her style and dress a bit younger. I thinking I could go along with her offer my moral support while she gets anti wrinkle injections. Melbourne socialistes are all about getting anti aging treatments, I see no reason why my mother shouldn’t join them. The cosmetic treatment place is well known around Melbourne for being one of the best. Anytime I see someone walking down the street with nice skin I assume they’ve had cosmetic fillers in Melbourne. I was a little nervous about telling Mum about her present. In the past I’ve always been very confident in giving gifts to people but this one was a little more personal I guess. I was worried that I may be losing my touch. Maybe my presents idea would send the wrong message, that I thought my mother looked old. I have the best intentions, I just hope she understands that I’m doing this from a place of love. I really do hope she liked it. Besides, I’ll be spending the day at the clinic with her too. I’m sure she can enjoy spending the day with her favourite daughter.
