I’ve come up with what, in my humble opinion, is up there with the most brilliant ideas of the planet (Einstein’s theory of relatively ain’t got nothing on this). Well, to be honest, while it did pop into my head one day (while in the shower if you must know … I always seem to do my best thinking in there …) it probably isn’t an original thought. Like, people have probably been thinking it for centuries, but don’t say it out line because the thought itself involves admitting, to yourself and to the world, that you’re crazy.
On a personal level, I’ve known this for quite some time. I have an obsessive personality and tend to latch on to hobbies and not let go. My most recent obsession? Makeup. I freaking love it. But, as anyone who loves makeup knows, it is freaking expensive. Like, my paycheck is not thanking me over here. So my solution? Do a makeup course. I know. Genius.
If I make makeup into my career, then people will supply me with blushes, foundations, mascaras, liners … whatever I need, really. Viola. Free makeup at a minimal cost, plus I’d get to add to my mad skills and maybe even go pro. I could do people’s makeup for a living. How great does that sound?
Besides, this clears up a kind of major issues for me. I never really exactly went to uni or anything, it just didn’t really seem like it was going to be my style, and since I finished school I’ve just sort of being wandering around a bit aimlessly. Maybe doing a diploma of makeup here, in Brisbane, will give me some of the direction I’ve been looking for. Or maybe all I’ll get out if it will be a free makeup pack. Either way, it sounds like a pretty good idea to me!
