In Need of Marketing?

corporate videosPeople said I was mad, opening my specialist shop. Maybe I would’ve had a chance if I’d started in a shopping centre, maybe over in Northland, where my wares would get more traction and more exposure. A tiny place like Keymore, where people are more concerned with farm produce and keeping out riff-raff? It’ll never work.

Well, I showed them! In the sense that I’ve opened my shop, and I’ve had two customers in the first day! They were husband and wife and they only bought one thing, but that’s two customers. I guess cosplay outfits for ferrets might be a bit more of a niche market than I thought.

Oh, my promotion is out there. I got one of Melbourne’s best videographers on the case, who also happens to be my teenage brother. He doesn’t have a business or anything, but he DOES have ferrets, and they’re quite well trained. All it took was a bit of cajoling and we managed to get three of them dressed up and ready to make a promo video that’s now garnered over fifty hits on Me-Straw! I considered doing it professionally, but I figured I wouldn’t bother until I really started to gain fame for my bold idea. Besides, the one we have right now is pretty good. Lucille we managed to dress up like Wondrous Female, Maxibon is wearing a little Superb-Man outfit and Ajax…he looks so cute in his little Cat-Man outfit. They’re a regular little league of super-justice all by themselves. And people on the internet LOVE cute things. I know, because I read it online.

So yeah, that’ll do for now. I’ll see how the video goes, make my store appealing…and we’ll see if anyone comes in. They have to, though. And if they don’t? Well…maybe my brother has some sweet contacts in the Melbourne corporate videography scene. Teenagers are ALL about networking.
